Anna burns is the author of Milkman book . This novel book is a historical fiction book. This story is like a report of a sad tragedy of a young woman. She is physically and mentally exploited at the hands of a cruel lover. This story contains information about ruthlessness, harrassment/encroachment. The writer has written this story in a very satirical manner. Ana Burns awarded the Man Booker Prize for this book.

There was a boy named Ashton. Who was the son of a British botanist passing through India. He was born on the road shortly before the Soldier rebellion of 1857. His parents died due to illness. Ashton raised by his grandmother. Because all the Firangi were killed in this rebellion.

Ashton and his grandmother take refuge in Gulkote's kingdom. Then, he forgot the English customs and grew up as a normal Indian boy. He had many friends. He conspired to kill his master.And escaped from there with the help of his friends.Meanwhile, his grandmother died. Before death, his grandmother handed over the letters and money given by her father... Then, he went England for his necessary education and military training. And after which he became an officer of the Corps of Guides.
 
 Then he went to Afghanistan. Where he was suspended from the guides...   After that he married his friend Anjuli. Then After the revolt of Kabul, the Ashton and Anjuli started searching for a suitable place to live in peace in the Himalayas.
